Greek Teaches You How to Cook the Word of God

Listen to podcast audio:

Gary Wilkerson continues his conversation with Chris Palmer about the benefits of learning New Testament Greek. They discuss Bible translations, the fluidity of language, and the nuances one can discover when studying the original Greek words.

Key Points from the Podcast

  • When picking a Bible translation to read, consider whether the translation was created by a committee or an individual, since committees help keep individual biases from influencing the interpretation of the text.

  • Language is fluid and changes over time, so it is important for Bible translators to adapt to changes in words and their meanings.

  • There are nuances in New Testament Greek that can give a greater depth of understanding to the biblical text.
