God is reaching out and caring for the least of these through faithful servants in his church and the generous support of World Challenge’s followers.

World Challenge partners are working to help those believers who are facing an uncertain future after their nation fell to the Taliban.

Few of us will be able to sponge away the images of desperate Afghans clinging to the landing gear of planes taxiing down Kabul’s airport runways. Some chose to fall to their deaths rather than be trapped in a country that was swiftly being taken over by the Taliban.

God is the only one who can completely change a hard heart, and he has done exactly this in one man who lived wildly and dangerously.

Emanuel Rop lives in the Rift Valley, in an area that borders two tribes called Kipsigis and Luos. He is 45 years old, and nothing about his life these days with his wife and four children would hint of his wild past before meeting God.

My name is Natalya. I was born in Novokuznetsk in 1981. At that time, my mother and father were working at the steel plant. My parents are wonderful people; they have tried to give their best to us.

“My father left when I was about ten, and he is not in my life,” Angel told our partners. Before he was even in middle school, he had already joined a gang, been in fights and tried drugs. “I knew of God as a creator, but I viewed him as an angry God that was disappointed in me.”

In the long-term aftermath of Romania’s revolution, World Challenge’s partners are providing a home for kids who don’t have family of their own.

Up until 1989, Romania was under the control of one of the world’s most oppressive Communist regimes. Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu was eventually overthrown and executed, but the timing of this political turmoil could not have been worse for Romania’s most vulnerable populations.

World Challenge’s partners in Albania are demonstrating God’s love to those who are lonely and ill through necessary provisions, prayer and the humble love of simply being present.

World Challenge’s partners in Eastern Europe are working to help the victims of addiction find new life and hope for a future with Christ.

The Union of Pentecostal Churches of Lithuania is partnered with World Challenge to help addicts find a real relationship with Christ and find transformation in their rehabilitation process.

The Community Transformation ministry located in Western Kenya reaches hundreds of people spread across the Rift Valley region with the transformative power of the gospel.

Many of the Rift Valley community members have experienced salvation in Jesus Christ as a direct result of their involvement with World Challenge’s partners.
